About Martin

I am a Master’s student in the Marine Biology program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. My research focuses on invertebrate-kelp associations in the spectacular kelp forests of the Aleutian Chain (stay tuned for pictures!).  Through my own research and other research oppurtunites at UAF I have travelled to many remote locations in Alaska. I will be a diver on the upcoming National Science Foundation expedition titled “International Polar Year, Poles Apart: Visual Documentation of the Marine Ecosystems of the Polar Regions.”
